Signing in sends you back to the sign-in screen
What to do when signing in appears to work but lands you back on the sign-in page.
If you enter your email and password, nothing complains, and you end up looking at the sign-in screen again - or at a blank page that never finishes loading - it is almost certainly not your password. Do not reset it.
Every time SyteNav opens a page it asks the sign-in service to confirm who you are. That check takes a few thousandths of a second normally, but if it cannot get through, the app used to assume you were signed out and send you back to sign in - where signing in worked, and the next page asked again, and bounced you again.
- 1Wait a few seconds and try once more - these outages are usually very short.
- 2If you see a page saying SyteNav cannot reach the sign-in service, press Try again on it. That page means your session is fine and the connection is not.
- 3On the phone app, close it completely and reopen it.
- 4If it is still happening after a few minutes, tell us - and say whether you saw the sign-in form again or the "cannot reach" page, because they mean different things.
A real sign-out looks different: you are told your session expired, or you land on the sign-in page without having tried to sign in. Being returned to the form immediately after a successful sign-in is the connection problem above.
Resetting your password will not help with this, and it logs you out everywhere while you do it.
