The Friday weekly summary
Every Friday afternoon: what got done on every running job, which jobs moved forward, and what is behind or delayed - in numbers.
Every Friday afternoon SyteNav sends one letter covering the seven days just gone (Saturday to Friday) across every ACTIVE job your company runs. It is in numbers: tasks finished, daily logs, inspections passed, delays reported - then three short lists.
- 1MOVED FORWARD: every job where something was finished this week, busiest first - "6 tasks done, 4 daily logs, 1 inspection passed".
- 2NEEDS ATTENTION: a delay a sub reported this week, a schedule line past its finish date that has been marked under 100%, a failed inspection, tasks past due, and selections the client still owes past their decide-by date.
- 3NOTHING RECORDED: running jobs with nothing finished all week, so a quiet job is named rather than left out.
WHAT COUNTS. Each thing is counted by its own date: a task by when it was completed, a daily log by the day it covers, an inspection by its result date, an RFI by when it was answered. A schedule line whose percent nobody has entered is NOT called late - the summary only says a line is behind when somebody has said it is under 100%.
WHO GETS IT. By default the people who run jobs - admins, managers and project managers. Change it under Settings > Notifications > Who gets told (the "Weekly summary" row), and anybody can switch their own copy off, or keep only the bell, on the Notifications tab. It carries no money - payments and margin have their own permissions, and a summary is not a way round them.
A week where nothing was finished and nothing is wrong sends no letter at all. Planning, on-hold and finished jobs are left out; a development is counted through its houses.
