Getting around inside a job
One row of sections at the top of a job; each one opens a menu of its pages.
Every job has one row of sections across the top. Hover one, or click it, and its pages drop down underneath. A tick marks the page you are on.
- 1Overview - where the job stands and what is waiting on you. No menu; it is one page.
- 2Field - Plans, Schedule, Tasks, Progress, Daily Logs, Time Clock, and Jobs on a site.
- 3Buyout - Quotes & Bids, Subs & Team, Compliance.
- 4Finance - Estimate, Budget, Materials, Selections, Bills from subs, Pay Apps, Billing the client, Change Orders, Financial Summary, Reports.
- 5Docs - Permits, Inspections, Submittals, RFIs, Sharing.
To the right of the job name are four buttons, each one an icon: the people on this job, sharing it with your client, the job's history, and the job's settings. Hover any of them to see what it does.
Which sections and pages you see depends on your role and permissions. Admins see everything. A section with nothing in it for you does not appear at all.
A job still in Planning shows a shorter menu with a "Preconstruction" badge. Nobody is on site yet and there is nothing to bill, so Time Clock, Daily Logs, Progress, Materials, Inspections, Bills from subs, Pay Apps, Billing the client, Change Orders, Financial Summary and Reports stay out of the way. They all come back the moment you set the project to Active.
