Create a batch of projects at once (units, floors, houses)
Set up a whole building or street in one go, grouped under a single site.
A 40-unit building is 40 jobs - each with its own budget, schedule and crew - but it is one address and one client. Bulk Add creates them all at once and groups them under a site, so your Projects list shows one row instead of forty.
- 1Go to Projects and click Bulk Add (it is also on the Customers page and inside a customer, if you want the batch tied to that client).
- 2Pick what you are setting up: Units (one building, a job per unit), Floors (one building, a job per floor - the usual shape for a commercial fit-out), or Street numbers (a run of houses on one street).
- 3Enter a name prefix. Every job is named from it, e.g. "95 Edgecomb - Unit 3".
- 4For Units and Floors, enter the building address once - start typing and pick the suggestion so it is a complete address.
- 5For Street numbers, enter the street name plus the city/state/ZIP, then the first house number, the increment (2 for odd or even sides) and how many.
- 6Set the range, project type and start date, check the preview, and create. Up to 100 jobs per batch.
You land on the site's Jobs tab: every unit listed with its status, budgeted and actual amounts, and a total across the whole building. Click any one to open it as a normal project with all its own tabs.
The site itself is a container, not a job. It holds the address, client, plans and permits; budgets, schedules and crews live on the units. That is why a site shows a shorter set of tabs and a "Site" badge.
On the unit and floor batches the address is geocoded once and shared, because every unit really is the same building - so they all land on the map at the right spot. Street batches look up each house separately. If a job could not be placed you will be told how many, and fixing its address in Project Settings puts it on the map.
The unit or floor number is stored as its own field rather than being glued onto the address, which is what keeps the address clean enough to geocode. You can see and change it in Project Settings on any job.
Searching on the Projects page looks inside sites too, so you can jump straight to "Unit 12" without opening the building first.
DELETING A SITE DELETES EVERY JOB IN IT. The warning names how many - "the 10 jobs inside it, with all their data" - before you confirm. To remove just one unit or floor, open that job and delete it on its own; the rest of the building stays.
