Your job as a sub: schedule, RFIs, delays and bills
What a sub sees on a job they were awarded, and what they can do there.
BEFORE THE AWARD a sub sees only the quote request - the scope, the plans you attached and the conversation with you. Nothing else about the job.
ONCE AWARDED, the job appears on their My Jobs page with: the job's Schedule (every trade in date order, theirs marked), their own tasks, RFIs (they can submit them, with a change order attached if they need one), inspections, the bills they have sent you, and compliance.
- 1Running late? On the Schedule tab, the sub presses Report a delay on their own line, says how many days and why.
- 2Nothing moves yet. You get a notification, and your Schedule shows "A sub reported a delay" with Review and Dismiss.
- 3Review opens your usual delay box with their days and reason filled in. You see which trades after them would move and choose whether to email them, then record it.
- 4The sub is told either way - applied with the new dates, or not applied.
A sub can only report a delay on their own work. They cannot move anybody's dates, edit your schedule, see the other trades' delay reports, or create jobs with the free account.
Bills: a sub sends a bill against their own subcontract from the job's Invoices tab, and it arrives on yours waiting for approval.
