Compare quotes (with AI analysis)
Line quotes up side by side - the AI checks each against your requirements automatically.
- 1On the Quotes & Bids tab, open a request and click Compare quotes to pull in the responses.
- 2Or upload quotes you already collected - drag in PDFs/images and the AI reads the vendor, total, line items, inclusions, and exclusions.
- 3Type what you need in the Requirements box (e.g. "200A panel, all permits included").
- 4The AI analyzes automatically and flags what each quote is missing, its strengths, and concerns - and recommends the best value.
Comparing already runs the analysis - you no longer click a separate "Analyze" button. Use Re-analyze after you change the requirements.
WHERE AN UPLOADED QUOTE GOES. Press Upload Quotes, pick one or more files, and ONE comparison appears already open holding all of them - named after whoever sent the quote, or after the vendors when you drop several ("Harborline Plumbing and Apex Mechanical", or "Harborline Plumbing + 2 others"). If a file cannot be read it says which one and why, rather than skipping it quietly; and if none of them could be read, no comparison is made at all.
IF THE CONNECTION DROPS WHILE IT IS READING. A long PDF takes a few seconds to read. If your signal goes in the middle of that, you will see a message saying the connection dropped and that we do not know whether it finished - because we genuinely do not. Reload the page before you upload the same file again: the quote is often already there, and uploading it twice gives you two of it.
WATCH THE VALID-UNTIL DATE. A quote that carries one is flagged amber inside 30 days and red once it has passed, saying how long ago it lapsed. Awarding an expired quote is awarding a price nobody is holding any more - go back to the vendor before you do.
