Field Mode for field workers

A stripped-down phone screen for crew: clock in, see today's tasks, snap photos.

Team members with the Worker role get Field Mode - a simple, phone-first screen built for gloves and sunlight. There is no sidebar and no project tabs; just today's work. They land here automatically when they sign in.

The bottom bar has four spots: Home, Tasks, Log, and Me.

  1. 1Home: one big Clock in / Clock out button (takes a quick selfie and grabs GPS), plus today's tasks and a shortcut to add a photo.
  2. 2Tasks: every task assigned to the worker across all their jobs. Tap the circle to check one off.
  3. 3Log: pick a job, snap or attach photos, add a quick note - it saves as a daily log entry on that job.
  4. 4Me: their assigned jobs, current clock status, and sign out.

READY FOR INSPECTION. When an inspector is booked on one of their jobs and nobody has said the work is finished, it appears on Home with the date and how long is left. One tap marks it ready, which is what the 7:30am reminder email is asking for. It is the same permission the office sees - "Mark work ready for inspection" in the permission grid - so you can take it away from the crew if that call is not theirs to make.

FIELD MODE IS HOME, NOT A FENCE. A worker lands here and everything they need day to day is here. But if their role allows a screen - Plans, Files, Equipment, Materials, or a job's own pages - they can open it, and a link somebody texts them will work. The first item in their menu says "Field Mode" and brings them straight back.

A worker only ever sees the jobs they are assigned to and their own tasks, time, and photos. Anything beyond that follows the permission grid: if Worker is not ticked for Budget or Bills from subs, those screens say so rather than opening.
